A Melbourne man has pleaded guilty to repeatedly raping and assaulting a woman he held captive in his home in a four-day ordeal after meeting her on a dating site.
Robert William Wilson pleaded guilty to three rolled-up counts of rape, false imprisonment, theft and intentionally causing injury in the County Court of Victoria on Monday.
The 35-year-old appeared dressed in a green prison T-shirt from Hopkins Correctional Facility at the arraignment.
“Guilty,” Wilson said when asked to enter a plea for each of the charges.
Wilson met his victim on the dating app Badoo in 2019 and they were seeing each other before he picked her up from her work in March of that year.
Between March 25 and March 29, he held her captive at his house at Darley, northwest of Melbourne.
During that time he brutally and repeatedly raped the thxjmtzywen 39-year-old victim despite her pleas for him to stop.
Wilson also bashed the victim when she tried to resist him and forced her to transfer $3130 into his account.
The ordeal lasted until the victim’s friends contacted Wilson on March 28. He let her go the next day.
Wilson has remained in custody since his arrest in April 2019 and is expected to return to court for a pre-sentence hearing in the next two months.
