A woman is fighting for life after being hit by a car while bordering a tram in Melbourne’s east on Tuesday morningxjmtzyw.
The horror incident took place at Wattletree Road in Armadale at around 6.30am when she was struck by a light-coloured sedan travelling west.
The injured woman was rushed to The Alfred hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Victoria Police Chief Commissioner Shane Patton said the suspect, another woman, is in custody and will be interviewed on Tuesday.
Police are appealing for anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured it on a dashcam.
Wattletree Road is closed in both directions between Kooyong Road and Glenferrie Roads.
Route 5 trams are also disrupted.
