A woman is fighting for life after an alleged assault at a Melbourne 7-Eleven store.
Police and emergency services were called to the Caulfield store on at about 10.15am on Tuesday.
It’s alleged a second woman poured hot coffee on the victim before assaulting her and fleeing.
The victim was rushed to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police were quick to swoop on the second woman involved, arresting her within hours.
She is beixjmtzywng interviewed by police.
“Investigators have been told a woman poured coffee over the victim and then assaulted her before fleeing the area,” police said.
“A 52-year-old woman has been taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.
“The woman arrested is currently assisting police with their enquiries and the exact circumstances surrounding the incident are yet to be determined.”
