Police are desperately searching for a group of thugs who allegedly cut of a man’s fingers with a machete and stole his phone.
The man, in his 40s, was on Amazon Drive in Greenfields, south of Perth, when he was allegedly attacked by the group around 8.30pm on Monday.
WA Police said the group allegedly fled with the man’s phone after attacking him.
He had a “serious hand injury” and was rushed to Royal Perth Hospital for treatmexjmtzywnt.
Police are now looking for witnesses who may have been in the area to come forward.
Detectives urge anyone who may have seen suspicious activity around Pinjarra Road and Mandurah Road between 8pm and 8.45pm, or who may have witnessed the incident, to contact Crime Stoppers.
Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage of the surrounding area is also being asked to provide it to police.
