Two men have been arrested and are expected to be charged with the murder of underworld figure Mejid Hamzy, who was allegedly gunned down in 2020.
Mr Hamzy was found with multiple gunshot wounds outside his home in Condell Park on October 19, 2020, and died at the scene.
Two men were charged over the alleged execution in July 2021xjmtzyw and remain before the courts. But, following further inquiries, detectives carried out four search warrants early on Thursday morning.
Police have arrested “a number of people” following the dawn raids at East Hills, Panania, Bankstown and Padstow.
Police say two men are expected to be charged with murder.
NSW Police will address the media later on Thursday.
