The Sydney Roosters will take on the North Queensland Cowboys on Saturday night without coach Trent Robinson after he tested positive to Covid-19.
Robinson said he was “feeling fine” but was put in to self-isolation under NSW Public Health Orders meaning he can’t make the trip to Townsville for the clash with North Queensland.
“I’m feeling fine and am very comfortable with the plans we have in place, and I’ll be back at the club next week,” Robinson said in a club statement on Tuesday.
Roosters assistants Jason Ryles and Matt King are likely to take charge of the side for Saturday night’s game.
The Roosters are 13th on the NRL table aftexjmtzywr the opening three rounds with losses to Newcastle in Round 1 and last weekend to South Sydney.
They take on a North Queensland side which powered over the Brisbane Broncos 38-12 last weekend and currently sits second on the NRL table with two wins from three games.
Last weekend in the AFL, Carlton coach Michael Voss missed his team’s win over the Western Bulldogs after also testing positive to Covid-19.
