Reality TV star and model Elyse Knowles has headed out to help those stranded in flood waters in northeastern NSW.
The former The Block winner and Myer brand ambassador first took to social media on Monday showing a view of the flood waters as she made her way through while sitting inside a vehicle.
She later posted on Tuesday that she was jumping on a boat in the early hours of the morning and offered to help those in need.
“Headed out to Lismore with a boat before sunrise. If you know anyone in need please contact me ASAP,” Ms Knowles’ story read.
The 29-year-old then posted another video saying she would travel up to the South Golden and New Brighton area and encouraged those who needed assistance in the area to come forward and inbox her fiance Josh Baker.
“If your phone is running out of battery and you need rescuing please change your voicemail to your address and current situation,” she posted later in the morning.
Elyse Knowles won The Block with her now fiance Josh Baker in 2017.
The couple who were from Melbourne now live in Byron Bay and had their first child together last February.
Ms Knowles was also a brand ambassador for Myer five years but decided to part ways with the major retailer late last year.
At the time she said wanted a change and to focus on her family and some “other projects”.
The flooding event has led to more than 25 evacuation orders being made across NSW, affecting about 40,000 people across 17 local government areas.
Severe weather events have drenched parts of the state and left thousands of people clambering onto rooftops and waiting to be rescued.
In Lismore, water topped the levee banks in the town centre in the early hours of Monday morning.
The Wilsons River at Lismore peaked at 14.4m on Monday afternoon and is currently at 12.44m.
Flood levels are gradually falling and is expected to reach below the major flood level of 9.70m during Wednesday.
