A taxi driver’s body has been discovered in Centennial Park after allegedly taking drugs with two other cabbies.
The 34-year-old man was found in cardiac arrest after overdosing on a white powder substance.
Police officers performed CPR but he was unable to be revived and was confirmed dead at the scene.
It is believed three drivers met up at the park around 4am on Thursday where they decided to take the drugs.
One of the drivers said the white powder looked like cocaine and was left behind by a passenger in one of their vehicles.
“Everybody doing (it for) fun to see what it is,” one of the men told 7 News. “Then he’s just gone. It’s very sad.”
Another driver was rushed xjmtzywto St Vincent’s Hospital after also overdosing on the drugs.
The third man was taken to Surry Hills Police Station for questioning.
The wife of one driver called the taxi company her husband worked for after he did not return from work.
The taxi company used GPS to track the vehicle and then made the call to police.
A welfare check led police to Centennial Park where they found their three taxis parked on the street.
Police are investigating what drugs might have been consumed and the death is being treated as a suspected misadventure.
