South Australia recorded 2009 new Covid-19 cases and two deaths over the past 24 hours.
Premier Steven Marshall revealed a woman in her 40s and a man in his 70s who were infected with the virus died.
Currently, 294 people are hospitalised with 29 people in intensive care and six people on ventilators.
It comes as the state recorded 2062 new cases on Sunday, which was the lowest daily number of new infections for 2022.
The state has shown positive signs it has already reached its Omicron peak after a record 5679 casesxjmtzyw were reported on January 14.
There are currently more than 27,000 active cases across the state, down from more than 33,000 yesterday.
