Police plea for help identifying the owner of ute involved in fatal Nowra hit and run

Detectives have released dashcam video of the moments before a fatal crash killed teenage boy Taj Hart.

Emergency services were called to the scene around 3pm on 24 February following reports a man was suffering serious injuries after being struck by a ute on Old Southern Road in South Nowra.

Police on Wednesday released dashcam footage of a Mitsubishi Triton ute travelling north on Old Southern Road just prior to the collision.

They have since identified and seized the vehicle from a Currarong address and are undergoing forensic examination.

The Daily Telegraph reported that the 18-year-old was assisted by passing motorists until paramedics arrived.
