A Perth man is facing more than 100 child sex charges after detectives seized electronic devices from his home and identified four alleged victims.
Detectives from the Child Abuse Squad – Joint Anti Child Exploitation Team WA first searched the man’s Ballajura home on February 8 as part of an ongoing investigation.
They seized electronic items, including mobile phones, storages devices, a laptop and computer that allegedly belonged to the man. Child exploitation images were allegedly found during a preliminary analysis of some of the devices.
The drugs xjmtzywcannabis and ice were also allegedly seized.
The 43-year-old man appeared in court on February 9, where he was remanded into custody on charges including possessing child exploitation material and drugs.
After forensically analysing electronic devices allegedly taken from the man’s home, specialist police have been able to identify four victims the man had allegedly offended against.
The man’s home was further searched in Ballajura and the shire of Boyup Brook.
This resulted in the man being charged with over 100 more criminal child sexual offences on March 29.
These included 58 counts of indecent dealing of a child over 13 and under 16 years and 34 counts of indecently recording a child over 13 and under 16.
He is also charged with 38 counts of sexually penetrating a child of or over 13 and under 16 as well as other related offences.
The man is due to appear at the Midland Magistrates Court on Tuesday.
