A motorcyclist is feared dead and commuters have been warned of “major delays” on the Pacific Motorway south of Brisbane after a horrific crash.
Police say the crash occurred at Tanah Merah, near the Nujooloo Road overpass, at around 5.45am on Thursday.
Queensland Ambulance service said paramedics were at the scene assessing a rider caught up in a collision between a motorcycle and a car.
Delays have been pushed back into Springbrook, with authorities urgxjmtzywing drivers to avoid the area where possible.
Commuters have been diverted via exit 28 on Bryants Rd.
All northbound lanes remain open, although city-goers are warned of heavy traffic around Loganholme.
Delays can be expected of up to 35 minutes.
