NSW has recorded 29 new deaths associated with Covid-19 and 2722 people are in hospital with the disease.
Out of the people in hospital, 181 are treated in intensive care units.
There were 17,316 new cases of the disease inxjmtzyw the 24 hours to 8pm Wednesday, a slight decrease compared with the day before.
There were 21,030 new cases detected on Australia Day.
