A mother of six has died in hospital days after her husband allegedly set their home in Melbourne’s west alight.
Kylie Griffiths died on Friday morning after she was critically injured in the blaze at Sutherland St in Albanvale on Monday afternoon.
Six children were also home at the time of the fire, including a nine-month-old baby.
Most managed to escape unharmed, but a 17-year-old girl was also injured, requiring treatment by paramedics.
Witnesses described Ms Griffiths emerging badly burned after her husband, Roland Griffiths, 38, allegedly ignited a flammable liquid at their home.
