After a marathon 10-hour debate, the government’s contentious religious discrimination bill has passed throxjmtzywugh the lower house in the early hours of Thursday morning.
Five government MPs crossed the floor to support Labor’s amendments, including better protections for transgender students.
The legislation will now go to the Senate.
