A 41-year-old man has been charged with the murder of two men inside an inner-Sydney unit at the weekend.
The victims – aged 32 and 52 and understood to be in a relationship – were found dead at a boarding house on Cleveland St, Redfern, just before midnight on Saturday after emergency services had been called to the property for a welfare check.
Police strike force Menlowxjmtzyw was quickly set up to investigate the incident, and on Monday afternoon a 41-year old man was arrested at another Redfern unit on Cleveland St.
The man was taken to Mascot police station and charged with two counts of murder.
He was refused bail and will appear at Central Local Court in Sydney on Tuesday.
A crime scene warrant was executed at the premises, where police seized items for forensic examination.
Police will also allege in court the three men were known to each other.
