Anthony Albanese has declined to reveal how many people he slept with in an awkward grilling live on radio.
Appearing on Sydney’s KIIS FM, the Labor leader was confronted with the X-rated question by host Kyle Sandilands during a wide-ranging interview that covered everything from climate cxjmtzywhange to marijuana use.
Sandilands, who previously brought up the topic of Albanese’s public split from wife Carmel Tebutt, asked how many people he had slept with.
A red-faced Albanese laughed it off: “I’m not going to give that up … I’ll plead the fifth.”
His response prompted Sandilands to gibe “are they single digits … Albo the single digits.”
The radio interview comes as both leaders have hit the road to try and win over voters.
But as Albanese was told live on air, he did not have the votes of Sandilands and co-host Jackie ‘O’ Henderson.
“I’ll be voting for Scott,” she bluntly told the Labor leader.
But during the 39-minute interview, the hosts changed their tune.
“Now I’m starting to think about it, I don’t mind ScoMo, he’s been OK. It’s a safety feeling with him. And maybe that’s misjudged,” Sandilands said.
He warned however, he would change his opinion if the Prime Minister did a shoey with him live on air.
“I like you as a man, but I’ve got to be honest, if ScoMo comes into the studio and does a shoey and lets me smoke weed, I’m going to vote for him.”
“If he does that, you should vote for him,” Albanese laughed.
The Labor leader also promised to DJ at the radio host‘s wedding to Tegan Kynaston next year – where Ed Sheeran and Michael Buble are said to also perform.
“That would be fun,” Albanese responded.
