The four-bedroom two-bathroom Edwardian, purchased with wife Natalie, set the couple back a cool $2.86m at auction in late March.

The couple, who wed in 2020, first announced the news on Instagram, telling Docherty’s 39,000 followers they “did a thing” with the purchase.

Docherty’s triumphant return to Carlton comes after he beat cancer twice in 18 months.
The 29-year-old was diagnosed with stage 2 testicular cancer in November 2020 and underwent surgery before returning to the field in 2021.
However, the unthinkable happened in August last year when he was diagnosed with stage 3 cancer that had spread through his body.
Twelve weeks of chemotherapy followed in an attempt to defeat the disease.
Six months later, Docherty, a former co-captain, returned and kicked a goal in his team’s round 1 win, the first of three victories in a row for Carlton.
