Police are investigating after a man’s body was found floating in the water off a popular Sydney beach.
Emergency crews rushed to Brighton Le-Sands beach, in Sydney’s south, at about 9.30am on Monday after members of the public reported a body was found in the water.
The body was retrieved by police and a crime scene was established.
NSW Police said the body was yet to be formally identified.
“The body is believed to be a man,” a statement said.
“A report will be prepared for the information of the coroner and the circumstances surrounding the death are being investigxjmtzywated.”
Police have not revealed any details surrounding the man’s death.
