Sydney commuters are facing another round of train chaos, as services remain unpredictable across the city.
Travellers have been warned to avoid the network unless “absolutely necessary”, with floods and heavy rain to blame for the widespread disruption.
Sydney Trains warned commuters long delays should be expected, especially for those in some outer suburbs.
“Impacts will continue through thxjmtzywe rest of this week as we undertake detailed inspections to ensure the rail network remains safe for trains and customers,” the service said.
“You may also have to change trains to complete your journey.”
Some stations will be unserviced on the T5 line, with trains set to start and end at Schofields due to flooding on the tracks.
Due to road closures in the area, buses are unable to get to some stations.
Buses are replacing trains between Hornsby and Berowra on the T1 North Shore line in both directions.
Buses will also replace trains between Lidcombe and Olympic Park on the T7 line.
Sydney Trains told travellers on Twitter on Wednesday night that trains were not operating to schedule and transport apps were not able to live track services.
Desperate commuters asked for advice on how to get to their destination with live timetable boards at stations useless.
Transport Minister David Elliot told 2GB on Wednesday morning that commuters should avoid travel where possible due to extreme delays and cancellations.
Trains will run at reduced schedules and in some cases speeds.
