Footage has been released of a man who was charged after allegedly crashing into four cars and a pole, before arming himself with a machete and scissors at Beenleigh on Tuesday morning.
The shocking footage reveals a 45-year-old Rockville man fleeing police on foot, arming himself with a pair of scissors.
Police allege the man was travelling in a blue Holden Cruze in Beenleigh, south of Brisbane, when he crashed into four vehicles, including a truck, at a roundabout and separate intersection.
The Cruze rammed up the rear of a yellow 2003 Ford Falcon sedan waiting at the roundabout.
The female driver, 37, suffered minor injuries.
The man allegedly accelerated past the Falcon onto the roundabout, where he collided with the rear-end of a truck, driven by a 55-year-old man – he was not injured.
The bonnet of the Cruze was ripped off during impact.
A third car was swiped by the Cruze, carrying a 60-year-old man in a Toyota Camry at the roundabout.
The damaged car continued onto City Road before approaching a busy intersection on Logan Rd, where he smashed the rear of a Nissan Navara seating a 27-year-old man.
Both of these passengers were not injured.
The Cruze then allegedly drove onto the wrong-side of Logan St and sped through a service station, before sideswiping a power-pole.
The man allegedly abandoned the vehicle and verbally abused people passing by, while armed with a machete.
It will be alleged the man then dropped the machete before retrieving a wallet and scissors and running from the car.
The man allegedly tried to get into a woman’s car, before he was confronted by police.
The man was transported to Logan Community Hospital in a stable condition, before he was transported to the Beenleigh watch-house.
The mxjmtzywan has now been charged with two counts of going armed to cause fear and one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, obstruct police and possessing dangerous drugs.
He is scheduled to appear at the Beenleigh Magistrates Court on Wednesday.
Investigations are ongoing.
