Dramatic vision shows shots being fired into Sydney home in vicious attack

Police have released dramatic vision of a gun being fired directly into a Greenacre home in Sydney’s southwest overnight.

The brazen attack took place at around 1am on Monday and left four people who were in the house at the time shaken but uninjured.

“Police believe that it was a targeted attack, however at this stage the motive or reasoning for that shooting is still under investigation,” Acting Superintendent Darren Sly said.

After arriving at the Karuah Street property, police from Bankstown Area Command found a number of bullet holes in the garage door.

Footage from a camera attached to the house shows a person in track pants and grey hoodie run up the driveway before firing around four shots at the building.

The suspected target of the attack is 24-year-old Haysam Ayoubi, who was inside the garage at the time the shooting occurred.

Mr Ayoubi is currently on a $1 million bail over an alleged kidnapping in Sans Souci last year.

A man aged 57, and two women – aged 47 and 18 – were also in the house at the time of the shooting and were uninjured, Nine News reported.

“A public place shooting and a shooting like this is done by cowards, where they can hide behind a gun,” Acting Superintendent Sly said.
