A musician was violently assaulted outside a Gold Coast bar for refusing to play the song Wonderwall by Oasis.
Police have released vision of the incident, which occurred on February 13, in the hope of catching the perpetrators.
Two men can be seen arguing with the musician, who was outside the Nobby’s Beach bar taking a break.
The 35-year-old was then headbutted by one man and punched in the face by the other.
Earlier, the men had requested he play the popular song Wonderwall by Oasis, which he declined to do.
Upon exiting the bar at around 10:45pm, the musician was approached by the two men, who yelled he should have played the song, before launching the assault, leaving him with bruising and swelling to his left eye.
The victim had no time to defend against the attack, which caused him to lurch backwards.
Investigations are continuing, with detectives urging anyone with information regarding the assault to come forward.
