A desperate search is underway after a man went missing in murky river waters in southeast Queensland on Tuesday.
Rescue teams, including water police and a helicopter, are trying to locate the man who entered the Bremer River in North Ipswich this morning.
The man was spotted near the David Trumpy Bridge by a passer-by near around 5:30am, who did not see the him resurface.


He was described to be of African appearance, around 175 tall and of thin build.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact them.
The search is ongoing.
