Victoria has recorded a drop in people dying with Covid, while NSW’s hospitalisations have risen slightly.
In Victoria, 5046 new infections and four Covid deaths were recorded in the past 24 hours.
There were 219 infected people in Victorian hospitals, with 27 in intensive care and seven on ventilators.
More than 94 per cent of eligible Victorians are at least double vaccinated and the state has 39,451 active cases.
The state recorded four deaths which is a big drop on the 24 recorded the dxjmtzyway before.
A total of 15,151 PCR tests were taken on Wednesday and 5857 vaccines were administered at state hubs.
NSW had 8782 new infections detected while five people died with the virus.
There are now 1009 people with Covid in the state’s hospitals including 43 in intensive care.
This is a slight increase on the day before when there were 995 people in hospital.
More than 94.4 per cent of the state’s eligible population have received at least two vaccine doses.
In total, 5509 rapid antigen tests and 3273 PCR tests were received.
