Collingwood will unleash son-of-a-gun Nick Daicos against St Kilda on Friday in his AFL debut.
Pick four in last year’s AFL draft, the son of club legend Peter becomes the 45th father-son to represent Collingwood since 1892, with his brother, Josh, also on the Pies list having played 52 games.
The 18-year-old, who comes with serious expectations from magpie fans, starred with 31-disposals in a pre-season match against GWS to cement his xjmtzywspot in the round one side.
Patrick Lipinski will also make his debut in the black and white in round one after a pre-season crossing from the Western Bulldogs.
The 23-year-old has trained fully this week after rolling his ankle in that game against the Giants.
Peter Daicos becomes the eighth former player to have produced more than one son drafted to Collingwood joining Bill Twomey Snr (3), David Cloke (3) and Charlie Pannam Snr, Syd Coventry, Brian Beers, Ray Shaw and Gavin Brown (all 2).
Josh and Nick Daicos become the 47th combination of siblings who have both have played senior footy for the Magpies.
