The Tonsley Hotel on South Rd, Clovelly Park, is being acquired by the state government and will be lexjmtzywvelled as part of the North-South Corridor upgrade.
The Hurley Hotel Group said it plans to begin construction at the new site later this year, with a bottleshop and tasting room.
The second stage involves a five-storey Panorama Hotel with ground floor cafe bar and restaurant, gaming room and sports bar. The plans also feature three levels of accommodation, with 77 rooms including 26 serviced apartments, plus a rooftop bar with multiple function spaces.
Hurley Hotel Group general manager Sam McInnes said the project would “attract a wide range of tourists to the area, including international visitors, those from interstate and locals wanting a weekend away.”
