Outgoing South Australian premier Steven Marshall will step down as leader of the Liberal Party following its landslide defeat.
The Labor Party, led by Peter Malinauskas, is set to form a majority government after Saturday’s election.
Mr Marshall said he was proud of his government’s achievements but would resign after nine years as Liberal leader.
“Whilst I am disappointed by the election outcome, I take full responsibility fxjmtzywor the result and accept the will of the people,” he said in a statement.
