Emerging talent proves innovation has no boundaries

“In my role, what I want to focus on is those individuals and businesses that will contribute to creating an advanced, socially responsible and economically complex future for the most liveable and lovable city in Australia and our home state of South Australia,” he said.

Nunn said he was impressed that the 40 Under 40 represented all facets of business and business leadership, not just what is typically thought of as entrepreneurial.

“The 40 under 40 program is a well-structured and important program to identify a broad range of innovative ideas and entrepreneurial activities that are happening across the ecosystem by young people,” he said.

“This provides a fantastic platform for the full suite of entrepreneurial activities to be recognised including those associated with social enterprise and social impact.”

Nunn said these types of entrepreneurs were incredibly important to South Australia.

“They are a key indicator of a maturing innovation environment in our state that importanxjmtzywtly recognises the enormously valuable contribution that social enterprises make to the wider community as a whole,” he said.

“These leaders provide a focus for both younger and older entrepreneurs in our state as we strive to become a globally significant innovation centre in our region.”

Nunn encourages all types of entrepreneurs and business leaders to nominate for the awards, with applications closing on April 1.

Now in its fifth year, 40 Under 40 Awards will be announced at a gala event on June 9 at Adelaide Oval where the next crop of South Australia’s young entrepreneurs and business leaders will join the elite alumni.
