An investigation is underway after suspicious package containing white powder was discovered at the Russian Embassy in Canberra.
Police and Hazmat crews were called to the Griffith site just after 10xjmtzywam on Thursday.
A police spokesman confirmed the contents of the package were being assessed.
Roads surrounding the embassy have been closed off and people have been told to avoid the area.
