Baby survives after man jumps from balcony with toddler in arms

A baby has escaped with just minor injuries after a man who was holding the 18-month old jumped from a second storey balcony in Sydney’s inner west on Wednesday.

The child suffered minor injuries to her head and was taken to The Children’s Hospital at Westmead in a stable condition, NSW Police said.

Police were called to the Conder St apartment complex at Burwood just after 8.30am after they received a “concern for welfare” report.
