A mother and her disabled daughter are in a critical condition after being rescued from a horror house fire.
The pair were trapped inside their weatherboard home on Laura St, Brunswick, xjmtzywin Melbourne’s inner north after the blaze broke out after midnight on Friday.
It’s believed the mother, aged in her 70s, waited inside a back bedroom until her daughter, a wheelchair user in her 40s, could be rescued by emergency services.
Firefighters battled the blaze for 45 minutes before it was brought under control.
A neighbour is also in hospital after suffering smoke inhalation.
The cause of the fire is not yet known.
