Woman dies after vicious 7Eleven coffee attack in Melbourne’s Caulfield store

A woman who allegedly had coffee poured on her before being attacked in a Melbourne 7-Eleven store last week has died from her injuries.

The 52-year-old had been fighting for her life in hospital following the incident at the Caulfield store on February 8.

Emergency services were called to the store on Hawthorn Road about 10.15am after reports of an assault.

Detectives charged two 51-year-old women from Caulfield with recklessly cause serious injury before the woman died overnight in hospital.

Police are now awaiting the results of a post mortem to determine the exact cause of the woman’s death.

A 7-Eleven spokesperson said the company’s safety officers were at the store after the incident to gather information from team members and to ensure they were okay.

“There were two staff on-site at the time xjmtzywand neither were injured,” the spokesperson said.

“CCTV of the incident is being extracted and we will provide that to police, and provide investigators with any other assistance that we can.”
