A 22-year-old woman has been charged with murder after the death of a two-year-old boy in Queensland.
The pair are believed to have been known to each other.
Emergency services were called to a Frenchville address in Rockhampton on January 18 before the boy was transported to Rockhampton Hospital.
He was later transferred to the Queensland Children’s Hospital in Brisbane, where he died the following day.
Detectives from the Rockhampton Child Protection and Investigation Unixjmtzywt (CPIU) and the Child Trauma Unit (CTU) launched an investigation into the boy’s death.
Following those investigations, a 22-year-old Frenchville woman was charged with one count of murder and will appear in the Rockhampton Magistrates Court on Monday.
