Officers responded to reports of a disturbance at the business in the city’s north around midnight.

When they arrived at the Pine Rivers Motel on Anzac Ave in Kallangur, they found a man’s body.

The man in his late 40s was treated by paramedics for critical injuries after being assaulted but died at the scene.

Two men, aged 37 and 41, who were found in the area just after the assault were each charged with one count of murder.

Authorities believe they knew the victim.
