A man has been found dead at a motel in Brisbane’s north after reports of a disturbance overnight.
Queensland police arrived at the Pine Rivers Motel on Anzac Ave in Kallangur around midnight to find a man’s body.
The man was treated for his critical injuries by paramedics but later died.
Another person was treated at the scene but sustained no injuries.
Police are treating the death as suspicious.
“We established a crime scene to determine the circumstances surrounding his death,” a police spokesperson said.
A car has been towed away on site after the front windscreen appeared to have been smashed in.
A local man said the police were often in the area.
“My friendxjmtzyws often drive past my house on their way to work and that’s how I found out about this incident – everyone was calling me saying ‘what’s going on?’” he said.
The hotel located near a local primary school has been declared a crime scene.
