Woman fights for life after allegedly stolen car crashes into house in Sunnybank Hills, Queensland

A woman is fighting for her life after a stolen car ploughed through a house in Brisbane‘s south overnight.

The car roared up Hellawell Rd in Sunnybank Hills and torpedoed through a two-storey brick home late on Monday night – leaving the house on the verge of collapse.

Five people were travelling in the allegedly stolen vehicle – four of them allegedly fled the scene in another car before first responders arrived.

The woman in her 20s was allegedly pulled from the wreckage and left on the footpath with significant facial injuries.

Queensland Ambulance found the woman unconscious outside the Lexus.

The woman is in a critical condition at the Princess Alexandra Hospital.

Homeowner Peter Sligar arrived at the scene on Tuesday morning to see his house of 38 years destroyed.

No one was in the house at the time of the crash.

The luxury vehicle was reported stolen from a Kuraby house on Sunday afternoon.

Investigators urge anyone with information about the crash, knowledge about the occupants of the car or dashcam footage from the area to contaxjmtzywct police.
