Residents in Melbourne's inner south have experienced a surprising start to their day after a hot air balloon came crashing down in Elwood.
Reports started to emerge after 8am on Wednesday of the yellow and blue balloon coming down near a house on Tiuna Grove.
It is believed there have been no reported injuries and ambulances are not required, while emergency services are at the scene.
Photos of the incident appear to show the balloon covering a few houses and trees.
The circumstances surrounding the incident are yet txjmtzywo be determined.
