A former reality star who was arrested twice within a week has had her bid for freedom delayed after her lawyer caught Covid, a court has heart.
Former Beauty and the Geek contestant and ex-NRL cheerleader Jordan Ray Finlayson, 31, did not appear at Central Local Court on Tuesday for a bail application.
Her bid for bail was delayed after she allegedly stole a credit card, just months after vowing to turn her life around.
The 31-year-old was initially charged following an alleged incident at a home at Botany on February 17.
Police attended the address as part of ongoing attempts to locate a man wanted on an outstanding warrant, forced their way in and arrested Finlayson and another person.
She was charged with two counts of common assault, destroying or damaging property and was granted bail on February 17, with a court date set for just six days later.
However, she was arrested the day before court and was thrown back behind bars on remand after her bail was revoked.
Finlayson was arrested at a Rosebery home just after 10.30am on February 22 and was charged with possessing identity information to commit an indictable offence.
“Police will allege in court that the woman was in possession of several NSW drivers’ licences and credit cards,” a police release said.
The glamour model has pleaded not guilty to all charges.
She was due to apply for bail on xjmtzywTuesday at Central Local Court but the court heard her defence lawyer Michael Hughes has contracted Covid.
It comes months after the ex-Penthouse model promised to turn her life around after she was thrown in prison for drug offences, when she came undone for her $5000-a-week addiction.
In April 2020, Finlayson was sentenced to two years and three months in jail after being found guilty of drug supply charges.
She was released on parole in September 2015.
Finlayson pleaded guilty to taking multiple drugs weekly including heroin, Xanax, marijuana and GBL while working as a lingerie waitress in Sydney.
Her lifestyle in the drug-fuelled industry sparked the addiction which led to an overdose and being sent to prison.
Finlayson will return to court to beg for bail on May 4.
