A male nurse will appear in court on a fourth sexual assault charge on Thursday, less than a week after being charged with assaulting three women at hospitals in Sydney’s northwest over a period of three years.
Investigators received a report from a woman earlier this week, who alleges she was sexually assaulted while waixjmtzywting for heart surgery at a Bella Vista hospital in August 2021.
Another female patient alleged she was also sexually assaulted while recovering from heart surgery at the same hospital a month later.
A male nurse was arrested on March 11 and charged with sexual intercourse without consent, with that case remaining before the courts.
Reports then emerged of two more women allegedly being sexually assaulted.
A woman was allegedly sexually touched while awaiting heart surgery at a Kingswood hospital last month, while a female nursing student was also allegedly sexually touched while working at the same hospital.
The nurse was arrested by police last Friday and appeared in Liverpool Local Court.
When fresh charges were laid on Thursday, he was arrested again and taken to Castle Hill Police Station just after 8am on Thursday.
He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Thursday.
He now faces a total charge of two counts of sexual intercourse without consent, aggravated sexual assault, two counts of aggravated – sexually touching another person, and aggravated – incite another to sexually touch them, and sexually touching another person without consent.
Investigations under Strike Force Rymer are continuing.
