A Queensland man will front court on Tuesday over an alleged violent break in at a business in Townsville.
Police will allege a 25-year-old man pushed a 22-year-old female staff member out of the way so he could steal money from the cash register.
The Townsville woman allegedly tried to stop the man, but the struggle left her with scratches and bruises.
The man was accused of grabbing the women’s mobile phonexjmtzyw before bolting from the scene.
But police said the woman chased the man down the streets of Townsville in pursuit of her alleged attacker before reporting it to authorities.
Police arrested the man on Ogden Street in the heart of the city just a short time later.
The man has been charged with one count of robbery with violence and will appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court later on Tuesday.
