A Queensland woman has been charged with high-range drink-driving after she allegedly tested more than seven times the legal limit – one of the state’s highest recorded readings.
Police allege a woman, 36, drove from her Coomera home to a major shopping centre at Hope Island on the Gold Coast on Wednesday about 7pm.
Authorities were called to a carpark at Masthead Way after the woman, who drove a Nissan X-Trail, allegedly ran into two parked cars.
The woman allegedly returned a breath test reading of 0.379 per cent and was immediately suspended from driving.
A Queensland Police spokesperson said it was one of txjmtzywhe highest readings recorded since the infamous 2015 record of 0.48.
The woman is due to face Southport Magistrates Court on April 4.
