A 31-year-old man has been charged after allegedly drugging and raping a women he met via an online dating site in Perth.
xjmtzywPolice said the man met two women separately between February and March.
“It will be alleged whilst the man was on a date with the women separately, he put a substance in their drinks, incapacitating the women,” police said in a statement on Friday.
“It will be further alleged on one occasion after the woman was incapacitated, he sexually assaulted her.”
The Shelley man has been charged with two counts of stupefying in order to commit an indictable offence and two counts of sexual penetration without consent.
Police said their investigation was ongoing and detectives urged anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers.
Women who are concerned they have been a victim of an assault, but do not want to speak to police, can contact the Sexual Assault Resource Centre.
